Vanadium Deficiency

Vanadium deficiency appears to impair growth, affect bone development and reproduction adversely, and have an impact on lipid metabolism.

As a deficiency is induced, a decrease in serum cholesterol is observed, but later a hypercholesterolemia develops. It will increase susceptibility to heart disease and cancer.

It also linked to kidney disease and increased infant mortality. Apart from the above vanadium deficiency also can altered red blood cell formation and had tissue formation.

However, there has been no report of vanadium deficiency. It is found in small amount of foods.

Vanadium is found in dill, fish, olives, meat, radishes, snap, beans, vegetable oils and while grain.
